My proposal is simple: a metal cage. This type of cage is what the Trump Administration has used to confine thousands of young migrant children and their families. To the asylum seekers, these cages are known as perreras, or dog kennels, where children are separated from their parents. These cages reflect the dehumanization of immigrants by the Border Patrol and by Trump himself, who announced his candidacy for president referring to people arriving here as rapists and drug dealers. This is Trump's legacy. It is the cruel symbol of his monstrous presidency.
